Founded in 1986 to address a mother’s need for high-quality care and education for her children in Indiana, The Weston School has remained resilient, trusted, and adaptable in meeting the evolving needs of the communities we serve. As a locally owned and operated organization led by a dedicated parent, we share families’ priorities —ensuring every child is safe, nurtured, and learning.

With 90% of brain development occurring by age five, we cherish these formative years by providing a play-based curriculum led by nurturing caregivers. Our LEAP curriculum, which integrates the award-winning Creative Curriculum, nurtures hands-on learning through exploration and discovery, while also preparing students for long-term academic success.

Infant & Toddler Care
Grow: Your child will engage in tummy time, gross motor activities, and sensory exploration designed to support the development of key milestones and promote age-appropriate growth.
Learn: Through our award-winning Creative Curriculum, students will be introduced to colors, shapes, counting, and other foundational skills that set the stage for academic success in preschool, all through our
age-appropriate, play-based approach.
Connect: Families will be kept informed through our communication app about their child’s meals, naps, diaper changes, and activities throughout the day, giving parents peace of mind and assurance about their child’s well-being.
Preschool & PreK
Grow: Students will engage in enriching activities that enhance both gross and fine motor skills, supporting the achievement of key developmental milestones.
Learn: Through our award-winning Creative Curriculum, students will develop essential literacy skills like letter recognition, letter sounds, and early writing, including writing their names. They will also build foundational math skills such as counting, recognizing patterns, and identifying numbers that will
Connect: Families will stay informed about their child’s learning and progress through communication apps, parent-teacher conferences, quarterly reports, and meaningful interactions, while also receiving lesson plans, learning updates, and at-home activities via Teaching Strategies to further support their child’s development.
Kindergarten Readiness
Grow: Children strengthen fine and gross motor skills through writing, cutting, building, movement, and hands-on classroom activities. These experiences help them develop coordination, independence, and the physical confidence needed for kindergarten routines.
Learn: Our Preschool and Pre-K programs combine purposeful play with structured instruction in early literacy, math, science, communication, and problem-solving. Children practice letter recognition, phonics, counting, patterns, classroom routines, and following multi-step directions through engaging, age-appropriate learning.
Connect: Kindergarten readiness also means learning how to participate in a classroom community. Children build self-regulation, cooperation, confidence, and positive peer relationships while families receive meaningful updates that connect classroom learning with continued growth at home.
The Weston School proudly accepts CCDF childcare assistance for eligible families. If your family qualifies, CCDF may help reduce the cost of childcare while your child receives safe, nurturing care and structured early learning.
