Safety

We don’t take it lightly when parents entrust their child into our care. All safety and security measures meet or exceed Indiana’s regulated safety standards. We invest in advanced technology like thermal cameras, fish-eye cameras and audio-recording capabilities.

Knowledge

Our educational standards are centered on learning through play, fostering a holistic approach that nurtures social, emotional, and academic growth. With our state-of-the-art digital teaching platform and the dedicated oversight of our Director of Learning and Culture, we ensure every student receives the highest quality learning experience.

Nurture

Since every child is unique, we seek to meet kids where they’re at. Tenderness and care are at the core of all we do, not just in words, but in relationships and decision-making too. Everything we do places
our students’ wellbeing at the center.

What Makes Our Infant Program Special

We draw inspiration from proven early childhood education approaches and our own decades of experience. Highlights:

Individualized, Loving Care
Each infant receives personal attention in a warm, responsive environment. We work with parents to align with your infant’s home routine for feeding, sleeping, and loving interactions.

Physical Growth & Motor Skills
Using age-appropriate activities like tummy time, reaching, rolling, grasping toys, and guided movement, we support critical fine and gross motor development

Cognitive & Sensory Stimulation
Through talking, singing, reading, sign language, and interactive play, we build curiosity, early problem solving, observation skills, and cognitive awareness.

Emotional & Social Foundations
We foster relationships, guided emotional regulation, peer interactions, recognition of feelings, eye contact, turn-taking—all in a consistent and safe environment.

Our Curriculum & Enrichment
We borrow successful elements from the Nest Play Curriculum such as communication, creative play, in-class enrichment (music, art, wellness) and teaching

Infant

Care and communication to support your 6 week to 1 year old.

● Motor skills are the foundation of physical development. That’s why your child’s teacher supports your infant in developing essential fine and gross motor skills encouraging them to reach for and grasp objects, roll over, sit up, crawl, and eventually take their first steps.
● Your infant will enjoy purposeful tummy time with caring teachers who engage their senses and support the development of essential gross motor skills such as head control, reaching, and rolling.

● Throughout the day, Infant teachers use sign language, read books, talk, and sing with your little one, helping them hone their senses, develop observation and problem-solving skills, and stimulate cognitive development through cause-and-effect toys, encouraging attention to objects and fostering early memory skills.

● We teach your infant social skills by fostering a nurturing environment where they engage in interactive activities with caregivers and peers, learning turn-taking, making eye contact, responding to others, and recognizing emotions through positive reinforcement and guided interactions.

● The Weston School teaches emotional regulation by providing a calm, responsive environment where caregivers model soothing behaviors, offer comfort, help your young child recognize and name their emotions, and guide them in developing emotional regulation skills and a sense of security through consistent care and routines.
